In Le Grand-Bornand, Lydie and Jim run the Shed Café, a coffee shop where the cuisine is inventive and the atmosphere warm and friendly.

In the setting of a “cabin” and terrace with a beautiful view of the Aravis mountains, enjoy a sweet or savoury breakfast, lunch based on seasonal produce and various sweet treats of Scandinavian or American inspiration. A wide choice of teas, coffees and milk-based drinks to accompany the cookies, vegan banana bread, cinnamon rolls and gluten-free carrot cake, for which Lydie follows her grandmother’s recipes. Mountains Coffee in Thônes

Thônes now has its very own concept café, the Café des Montagnes or Mountains Coffee.

As you enter, it feels like one of those Irish venues with the bar at the front selling drinks and snacks to consume on the premises or take away. For breakfast, brunch, lunch, a snack or just a drink, you can sit at one of the tables at the back of the café. Marguerite and Maxime have their hearts set on making you feel at home. Everything is served in beautiful crockery, from seasonal quiches and salads to wraps and sweet treats, all made in-house and absolutely delicious!
