You can use public transport to travel quickly and easily around the Annecy Mountains region with your bike.

From Annecy

Several regular bus routes allow you to travel from Annecy to your destination with your bike

A regular bus service will transport you and your bike from Annecy to La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand via Thônes(lines Y62 et Y63)  and to Albertville (line Y51). All buses are equipped with bike racks for transporting 6 bikes at no extra charge.

Please note that bikes can only be accepted at certain stops. Check the maps and timetables for each line.

During the summer season, take the bus to the top of the Semnoz
In July and August, line S4 runs from Annecy bus station to the Semnoz resort. For a €5 supplement, you can take your mountain bike with you, on the bike racks at the rear of the bus.

Inter-resort shuttle buses in the Aravis mountains

During the summer season, buses equipped with bike racks allow you to travel between the various resorts in the Aravis Bus network. Limit: 6 bikes per bus and 25 kg per bike.

Inter-village and inter-resort lines: 

  • Thônes – Les Clefs – Manigod
  • Thônes – Les Clefs – Serraval – Le Bouchet-Mont-Charvin
  • Thônes – La Balme-de-Thuy – Dingy-Saint-Clair – Alex – Thônes
  • La Clusaz – Saint-Jean-de-Sixt – Le Grand-Bornand

Lines in resorts:  

  • Le Grand-Bornand (bus station) – L’Auberge Nordique
  • Le Grand-Bornand (bus station) – Le Chinaillon
  • La Clusaz (bus station) – Les Confins
  • La Clusaz (bus station) – Col des Aravis
  • La Clusaz (bus station) – Col de Merdassier

A secure bicycle parking facility with 22 spaces is located at the Thônes bus station. Accessible 24/7, it offers the following services: secure battery chargers, repair station and tyre inflation station. Rates: 1 day: €1, 3 days: €3 and 1 month: €10.

LAKE ANNECY BOAT BUSES

Every day throughout the summer, the Compagnie des Bateaux’s Navibus boat buses serve the various ports on Lake Annecy:

Annecy, Veyrier-du-Lac, Menthon-Saint-Bernard, Talloires-Montmin, Angon, Doussard, Duingt, Saint-Jorioz and Sevrier. These ports are also served 4 days a week in May, June and September.
On all routes, you can expect to pay an additional €1 to €4 to board with your bike.
